You know the importance of protecting yourself and your loved ones, and of all the worst scenarios you can imagine, a home invasion is probably one of the most common fears. In 2019 the FBI recorded over 1.1 million home invasions. With your family to protect and an armed invader, indecision can be fatal. Getting away is always the best option but what about when this isn’t possible? This course aims to provide you with the skills, insight and practical experience to make the right choices in stressful situations, ensuring that you and your loved ones take the lowest risk approach, always having the confidence to cope with these fast-changing situations.

The course includes statistics, knowledge, theory lessons in strategy as well as practical scenarios that help you put everything into practice to gain valuable experience if you ever find yourself in this situation. Applicable Maryland Self Defense Law as well as applicable laws from surrounding states will be covered. The main class emphasis will be on defensive tactics for inside the home so people from all states will benefit. The course is built around an intruder scenario, covering strategy and action when running is not an option. This includes ways to barricade a room to keep loved ones safe while waiting for a police response, single person room clearance, should you need to get to a specific room in the home, such as a child’s bedroom, and both theory and practical instruction on low light shooting.

The instruction and learned skills of this course give you an edge in a home invasion situation, allowing you to take control and secure your loved one’s safety while minimizing risk exposure for them and yourself.
