But whether you are out hunting or at the range, the reality is that your normal shooting experience does not prepare you for the nightmare scenario. Intruders in your home. Here, where space is restricted and your focus is on protecting your loved ones, making the wrong choice can lead to disaster.
This course is designed to provide you with the skills, understanding and practical experience you need to deal with such a situation effectively while minimizing risk to yourself and those you are protecting. You will gain a strategic understanding that lets you make informed choices that deliver your loved ones to safety. Theis includes theory lessons in strategy as well as practical scenarios that help you put everything into practice to gain valuable experience if you ever find yourself in this situation.
The course is built around an intruder scenario, defending your house and loved ones when running is not an option. The course will cover setting up a long gun for home-defense and there will be multiple examples available. We will talk about firearm attachments, flashlights as well as the pros and cons of using a supressor. After a setup talk the class will begin tactical firearms training concepts in our two story training building.
The course will go into practical ways to manuver in a dwelling and ways to barricade a room to keep loved ones safe while waiting for a police response as well as single person threshold evaluations and room clearance and practical instruction on low light shooting with a rifle. Following concept and skill training the class will experiance live action senarios and get to put their skills to use.
Through the guidance and scenario training included in the course, you will gain an edge in any home invasion situation, allowing you to take control and secure your loved one’s safety while minimizing risk exposure for them and yourself.
This course requires participants to be legal firearm carriers and have experience of rifle use.
