Active Shooter Protection for Places Of Worship
$200.00
Threats can occur anywhere, and as we have seen in recent years, places of worship can become targets in their own right. Such environments create unique challenges for dealing with armed threats, with few exits meaning that assailants can often corral those inside with relative ease.
This course is designed to aid security teams and site organizers in developing easily implement, proven strategies for dealing with active shooter scenarios in these environments. Using a combination of classroom theory and practical scenario-based learning, the course covers movement, threshold evaluations, room entry, dealing with an encounter with the shooter and dealing with responding law enforcement on site.
With a focus on avoid/evacuate where possible, alongside strategies for engagement where necessary, This course offers insight into minimizing risk when caught in active shooter environments in general, but also provides an in-depth exploration of the unique challenges you face in a place of worship. Because of the lack of exits, this scenario presents less chance of avoiding confrontation that other active shooter scenarios, and the course reflects that. Multiple engagement scenarios are covered, giving you the skills and understanding to fight if you need to, while minimizing risk for yourself and others.
This course requires participants to be legal firearm carriers and have experience of firearm use. This course is proudly offered to religious organizations of all faiths.
